Regional Centre for Training and Water Studies
of Arid and Semiarid Zones (RCTWS)

The aim of RCTWS is to provide information
on the science and technology of arid and semiarid
zones and to adopt policies leading to the integrated
and sustainable water resources management at local,
regional, and national levels. It also works to improve
knowledge in this field by consolidating cooperation
with international organizations. Activities focus on:
• development and coordination of joint research
activities on urban water management;
• knowledge and information transfer through
international training courses, symposia, and workshops;
• provision of advisory services and technical
coordination at the regional level.
